SO EXCITED.....

I stumbled across an "adorible" new photography blog that I am LOVING.

She is hosting a weekly photo challenge, and I am going to try to participate as often as I can to try to get a little more experience.

This weeks challenge is "ABANDONED"....Her instructions are as follows...."Remember to think outside the box a little. This could be anything from an abandoned building or car on the side of the road, to something that hasn't been used in a very long time. So get into your attic and garage, or wherever, and start snapping!"
I was having a little trouble with this one and ran out of time considering my Hubby went out of town and TOOK MY CAMERA WITH HIM ( can you believe that?) lol- So I had to CHEAT just a little bit and dig through my stash.

I came up with this picture that I took at the River of our favorite bar "Fox's". This picture was taken in the early morning as the sun had just come up and the bar is "ABANDONED". In just a few short hours this place is hoppin'....

I am sure anyone is welcome to join, but HURRY - this weeks deadline is Thursday when she will be posting the next challenge.
I can't wait to see what's next.

Scrap Pals Week 3 Challenge : Easel Card

I had a lot of fun with this one.
It was so much easier than it looks - Trust me....
(I had help from Tee herself though...lol)

We had the opportunity to make three cards for a total of 15 points - but I have NO TIME, so I just did the one for the learning experience.

Hop on over to Tee's blog where she has already posted week 4's challenge.
This is one EVERY scrapper can relate to. This week she challenges you to finish something you started. It could be a project you started and set aside, using a kit you purchased with something in mind and never did, it could even be paper you bought with something special in mind and never used.

UPDATE - Week 2 Scarp Pals Challenge - Sketch Challenge

I can't WAIT to get started on this weeks challenge. This will be my FIRST two page layout. I love these challenges, they really CHALLENGE me to do something I have never done before - and isn't that the whole POINT of a challenge? lol

Here are the rules Tee has posted over at her blog.

This week’s challenge comes to your straight from one of her old magazines – the July 2009 issues of Creating Keepsakes using Becky Higgins multiphoto sketches.

This week’s challenge is to create a two page layout using one (or more) of the sketches below for 5 points per two page spread for a maximum of 3 two page spreads (or 15 points).

Won't you join us? The quarterly winner gets a special badge to wear on her Blog AND Tee sends out AWESOME prize packages!

***UPDATE***

Here is my FIRST layout for this challenge...Done Digitally using Melissa Bennett's adorable new kit called "Heart Whispers" available at the Sweet Shoppe....This is a GREAT kit to show off some love - or for a Valentine's Day layout. I will be seeing some amazing Hybrid projects with this kit in the future as well, I think.

Scrap Pals 2010 Challenge - Week 1

The Scrap Pals have started their challenges for the New Year with a BANG.
Tee has come up with a FUN one this week.

Week One challenges us to create anything having to do with BIRTHDAYS.
We all love Birthdays right? And we all know people who HAVE Birthdays.
The challenge was to create birthday cards, birthday layouts, birthday gifts or any other birthday ideas you come up with. Each project is worth 3 points to a max of 5 projects. (total of 15 pts)

Bonus points: You can earn an extra 10 points if you make 5 projects using all the same paper line or design line if you do digital like I did.

I had SOOOO much fun doing this one and can't wait to actually PRINT these out and use them. I created my cards and things in Paint Shop Pro using the fabulous kit "What a Boy Needs" by Heather Roselli of the Sweet Shoppe.

So without further ado - here are my creations...
